Leaders of the disbanded NDFB are seeking to contest the upcoming BTC elections and are reaching out to the BPF in this regard.
This was disclosed by BPF chief Hagrama Mohilary. Briefing newspersons, after addressing the BPF’s first campaign rally in Udalguri, Mohilary said that his party would give tickets to the leaders of the disbanded NDFB to help them fulfill their political aspirations.
Meanwhile, Hagrama Mohilary also exuded confidence of winning at least 25-31 seats in the elections, while maintaining that the BJP will win at least 4 seats.
Mohilary also added that the BJP, BPF and AGP alliance is intact. When asked if the BJP would contest is all 40 seats, Hagrama Mohilary denied any such development.
The political dynamics in BTR is constantly changing with every passing day as the battle for 40 council seats is drawing near. Meanwhile, leaders of the disbanded NDFB joining both the BPF and its rival UPP(L) has made this political battle all interesting.
