ENPO meet with HM Shah ends on positive note; HM Shah says will visit Eastern Nagaland by Jan 2023

Union Home Minister Amit Shah highlighted a clear road-map for amicable, legislative and sustainable solution for Eastern Nagaland.

The crucial meeting between Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the ENPO has concluded successfully, the ENPO said in a press statement issued soon after the meeting this evening.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has assured the ENPO talk team that he would visit Eastern Nagaland personally by January 2023 and move ahead with the future course of action.

In the meeting, Union Home Minister Amit Shah highlighted a clear road-map for amicable, legislative and sustainable solution for Eastern Nagaland. For this purpose, necessary consultations will be done with the people of Eastern Nagaland and the Nagaland government.

Besides, the ENPO stated that the Union Home Minister had appreciated the Eastern Nagaland people for being a part of the nation building thus far, which, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also has always been mentioning and appreciating. Amit Shah further added that the grievances and request for a separate entity is understood.

The meeting ending on a succeful note gains significance as the ENPO as well as other frontal organisations representing Eastern Nagaland had intensified the agitation in demand for Separate Statehood or Frontier Nagaland.
