Assam Rifles has apprehended three NSCN (IM) cadres from Doyapur village of Dimapur district in Nagaland.
As per reports, 5 Pistol, one 12 Bore Gun, 600 rounds of assorted ammunition have been recovered.
Reports further revealed that the Assam Rifles had conducted raids in the houses of those apprehended between May 24 and 25 following which they were handed over to the state police.
In a press statement, the NSCN (IM) alleged that the Assam Rifles personnel first raided the house of one Samuel Lotha and in his absence recovered a country made pistol.
The Assam Rifles also raided colonel Vikato Sumi’s house, allegedly in his absence, when his caretaker, Chingrin was present. During the search, arms and ammunition’s were also seized.
Following the raid, Kheliho – wife of Samuel, Chingrin – caretaker of Col. Vikato’s house and Hekuto Aye were apprehended by the team.
The arrested people along with the recovered items were later handed over to West Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation.
