Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio extended Poanglum greetings to the Chang community and the people of the state.

“Poanglum greetings to our brothers and sisters from the Chang community. May the festival which heralds the beginning of cultivation process foster friendship and unity and our prayers for abundant harvest be answered. #Nagaland #LandOfFestivals”, tweeted CM Rio

Poanglum is the festival of happiness and joy over the harvest.

The Poanglum festival is a mirror of the Chang community, which represents the quality of the community and its essence.

The festival marks the celebration of self-sufficiency and heralds the beginning of the cultivation process, seeking blessings for a bountiful harvest.

It aims to pass down the rich culture and beautiful traditions to the younger generation.
