Naga political issue: 14 tribes of Nagaland urge negotiators to sort out differences

As Nagaland is yearning for a solution to the vexed Naga political issue, 14 tribes in the state held an all important meeting at the Commissioners Rest House in Kohima.

As Nagaland is yearning for a solution to the vexed Naga political issue, 14 tribes in the state held an all important meeting at the Commissioners Rest House in Kohima. During the meeting attended by representatives of all the 14 tribes, it was agreed upon that there is a need to expedite the peace process.

Besides, the representatives also urged upon the negotiators – NSCN-IM and the NNPGs to sort out the differences. The tribes also made an earnest appeal to the government to facilitate the process for an early and acceptable solution.

Apart from this, the 14 tribes also appealed all the political parties to come together and work for an early solution.

General Secretary, Laji Luyanba of the tribal bodies also affirmed that the Nagas stand united for a solution to the decades long issue and support to the government.

Besides, the 14 tribes also urged the state government to resolve the boundary issues soon. The tribal bodies also appealed for the safety and security of people residing in border areas and hopes for an amicable solution.
