Friendship Turns Bloody: Stabbing Incident Leaves One Critical in Tripura

Following the incident, police detained Samrat Dey from his residence on Thursday and produced him before the District and Sessions Court.

One person had been arrested in connection to stabbing three of his friends in Gomati district of Tripura said police adding that condition of one of the injured is critical and so has been referred to GBP Hospital in Agartala.

A police official of the RK Pur police station informed that the stabbing incident occurred following a minor argument in Udaipur Central Road when a youth named Samrat Dey allegedly stabbed three of his friends Rahul Das, Ujjwal Saha, and Sekhar Das.

Rahul Das sustained serious injuries, especially to his eyes and body, and was initially taken to Gomati District Hospital. Later, due to the severity of his condition, he was referred to the GB Trauma Centre.

The other two victims, Ujjwal Saha and Sekhar Das, are receiving primary treatment at Gomati District Hospital.

Rahul Das’s family has filed a complaint against Samrat Dey, who is reportedly the owner of a water supply company. A case has been registered at the RK Pur police station.

Following the incident, police detained Samrat Dey from his residence on Thursday and produced him before the District and Sessions Court with requested for a three-day police remand for further investigation.
