Mizoram begins testing of COVID-19 samples

Taking a record time of barely 8 days to set up a COVID-19 testing laboratory, Mizoram has began testing of samples for Coronavirus at Zoram Medical College. The testing commenced on Tuesday evening.

Mizoram Health Minister R Lanthanglian a informed that samples of as many as 11 doctors and nurses who were looking after the state’s only COVID-19 positive patient were tested at the laboratory.

Results of all samples have tested negative, health department officials said.

So far, Mizoram has only 1 COVID-19 positive case, that of a 50 year old pastor who had travel history to the Netherlands.
