Ahead of the October 31 deadline, the Government of India and the NSCN-IM will hold talks in New Delhi on October 24.
This meeting between both the sides is being dubbed as the last one before the talks get concluded on October 31.
The meeting holds significance owing to the recent developments in the peace process, with the Government of India and the NSCN-IM standing on opposite sides as far as the key issues of separate flag and constitution is concerned.
While, on one hand the Government of India has ruled out possibility of granting of separate flag and constitution, the NSCN-IM has reiterated its stand on the issues, saying that there can be no solution without separate flag and constitution.
The last talks between both the sides, which were held on October 14 ended in a stalemate with both sides refusing to come to consensus on the issues.
