In a sensational incident, explosives were recovered in Arunachal Pradesh’s Namsai district. Locals at the Nongtaw village were taken by surprise when they recovered the explosives were while trying to clear water that had collected in a portion of a road.
OC Namsai Police Station Otu Gao informed that three mortar empty mortar shells were recovered along with 3 packets of explosives. However, the Namsai OC said that only one packet of explosive believed to be RDX was not damaged.
The police assumes that the explosives are part of a consignment which was used to trigger a blast in 2018 to hinder the movement of security forces.
