Assam: Two children drown in Burhi Dihing river

Two children have drowned in the Burhi Dihing River in Margherita in Tinsukia district of Assam.
The deceased children have been identified as–Biraj Tanti and Arjun Samasi, both residents of Lama Gaon village.
On Thursday, Biraj after returning home from school went to the river with his friend Arjun to take a bath.
When Biraj did not return home till the evening, his father went looking for him and learned that they had both disappeared into the deep waters. Later, he dove into the river and retrieved their bodies, said Biraj’s father.
