IPL 2024: Rajasthan Royals vs Kolkata Knight Riders match In Guwahati tomorrow

As the IPL season heads into its thrilling final stages, Rajasthan Royals (RR) are eager to secure a top-two finish as they face top league leaders Kolkata Knight Riders in a crucial IPL encounter at the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) Stadium in Barsapara, Guwahati on Sunday.

The evening match will start at 7:30 PM.

Despite leading the charts in the first half of the season, Rajasthan have faltered to concede the top spot in the standings to Kolkata with four successive defeats.

However, RR will have a chance to ensure their Qualifier 1 spot with a win over the Knight Riders who enter the contest on the back of four straight wins.

Having secured the playoff berth with 16 points, the Royals have been struggling lately, failing to cross the 150-run mark in their previous two games. Meanwhile, Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan have lost 4 out of their last 5 matches.

Currently, RR is placed at the 2nd position on points table with 8 wins to their credit. They have qualified for the Playoffs.

Meanwhile, KKR with 19 points are currently placed at the 1st position on points table with 9 wins to their credit after a washout against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad in the previous round handed them one point.

The top run scorer for Kolkata Knight Riders in the competition is Sunil Narine, with 461 runs to his name.

However, the Kolkata Knight Riders won their previous fixture against the Mumbai Indians by 18 runs. The match was reduced to 16 overs per side due to rain.

Since KKR won the return leg clash against the Mumbai Indians at Eden Gardens on May 11, KKR has not played any matches since the washout in Ahmedabad.
