All Assam Ranking Table Tennis Championship 2023 begins today in Barak Valley

The first-ever All Assam Ranking Table Tennis Championship 2023 has commenced at the India Club Indoor stadium in Assam’s Silchar today. A total of 288 players from 15 districts of Assam are participating in the championship being organised by the District Sports Association (DSA ) Silchar under the aegis of Assam Table Tennis Association.
The program was flagged off by the Silchar MLA, Dipayan Chakraborty, who also led the rally from the Silchar DSA ground to the India Club Indoor stadium.
Speaking to Northeast Live, DSA President Shibu Dutta said, “The district table tennis championship 2023, which was held for the first time in the region, participants took part from all across Assam. Over 288 participants of all age group took part in it.”
“The tournament began today, and the finals will be scheduled on August 6th. Minister Pijush Hazarika, Chairman of the Assam Table Tennis Association, is expected to attend the finals,” Dutta added.
The four day long championship will be concluded on August 6, 2023.
