5-member SIT team to probe NSF office destruction

Nagaland Police has set up a 5-member team to probe the vandalisation and demolition of the central office of Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) early this morning.
The SIT would be headed by Additional SP, Kohima, a Kohima Police release said today evening.
The release further said that a case has been registered at North Police Station, Kohima, under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The office was destroyed this morning by miscreants. The act has been condemned by leaders from across organisations and parties including Nagaland Minister and BJP’s state president Temjen Imna Along and Naga Hoho General Secretary, Elu Ndang.
Reacting to the incident, NSF president K Tep said, “we had an odd day today.” He thanked the Kohima DC, SP, ASP and the police personnel for their diligent handling of the case and he also appreciated and thanked all the support and solidarity shown by right thinking people and leaders of the state. Tep said that the unfortunate incident has made their more united and strong.
NSF held a symbolic flag hoisting ceremony this evening in front of the demolished office.
