Union Home Minister Amit Shah will undertake a day-long visit to Mizoram on April 1 and here is the detailed itinerary
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will undertake a day-long visit to Mizoram on April 1 during which he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of development projects worth Rs 2,414 crore, followed by a slew of programmes.

According to the official itinerary, Home Minister Shah will lay the foundation for the Assam Rifles Battalion Headquarters complex at Zokhawsang, about 15 km on the eastern outskirts of Aizawl following a National Anthem with a welcoming address by Chief Secretary of Mizoram, Dr Renu Sharma. After that, the Director General of Assam Rifles, Pradeep Chandran Nair will deliver his opening remarks.
An opening Mizo song known as ‘Ro min rel sak ang che’ is scheduled before Home Minister Amit Shah delivers his speech. The song will be performed by Leprosy Mission Choir.
A mementos presentation is slated after Home Minister Amit Shah’s speech following a cultural dance known as Cheraw that will be performed by the Cultural Troupe of Art and Culture Department.
Ending the session with a cultural dance, HM Shah will then take part in a slew of other programmes where he will inaugurate some projects such as-
Impounding dam & Recreation Centre located at Keilungliah, Champhai, A Multi Facility Centre named Lianchhiari Run in Aizawl, Integrated Command & Control Centre (ICCC) in Aizawl, and lastly a Warehouse at Bairabi.
Later in the day, the home minister will lay the foundation stone for the construction of the Zorinpui- Longmasu section of the National Highway 502A, and also the foundation stone for the construction of two sections of the Aizawl bypass (package 1 and package 2) and the construction of Laldenga centre in presence of Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga.
The home minister is also scheduled to distribute certificates to the beneficiaries of government schemes followed by a speech. A vote of thanks will be delivered by Commissioner & Secretary, Home Minister of Mizoram, Pu Lalchamliana with a National Anthem on the ending note for the day.
