First-Ever U-23 National Basketball Championship Concludes in Guwahati; Haryana and Tamil Nadu Crowned Champions

The first-ever U-23 National Basketball Championship came to an end today in Guwahati, with Haryana and Tamil Nadu crowned champions respectively in the Men and Women Categories.

The tournament played at the Karmabir Nabin Chandra Bordoloi AC Indoor Stadium at the Sarusajai Sports Complex was organized by the Assam basketball association under the aegis of the Basketball Federation of India.

Haryana emerged victorious in Men’s final against Punjab, while Karnataka secured the Second Runner Up title. In the Women’s category, Tamil Nadu was crowned champions and Karnataka settled for the Runner Up title. Delhi secured the Second Runner Up in the Women’s event.

30 State Teams took part in the men’s category and 25 State Teams participated in the Women’s category.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma along with Chief Patron of Assam Basketball Association Riniki Bhuyan Sharma, Assam Sports Minister Nandita Gorlosa, ABA President Pallab Lochan Das and others attended the closing ceremony.
