PM Modi said that the lifestyle of Naga Community in Nagaland, their art, culture and music attracts everyone
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today while addressing 95th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ a monthly radio program spoke on the lifestyle of the Nagas, their art, culture and music which attracts everyone.
The Prime Minister said that the lifestyle of Naga Community in Nagaland, their art, culture and music attracts everyone and it is an important part of the glorious heritage of our country.
PM Modi appreciated Nagaland’s initiative to promote its folk music.
The Prime Minister also appreciated the organization ‘Lidi-Kro-U’ a group of like-minded women which is making a commendable effort to preserve and celebrate aspects of the glorious Nagaland culture.
Nagas have formed ‘Lidi-Kro-U’ to save their traditions, their skills and pass them on to the next generation.
‘Lidi-Kro-U’ has undertaken the work of reviving beautiful facets of Naga culture which were on the verge of being lost.
The organisation is making sincere efforts to conserve traditional skills and knowledge & educate the younger generation.
The Prime Minister further reiterated that the youths need to be connected to their traditions and culture.
Meanwhile, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio extended his gratitude towards PM Modi for promoting the vibrant and special culture of Nagaland and for acknowledging Lidi Kro-U.
