Apex Naga organizations & church bodies back “September Joint Accordant”

The "September Joint Accordant" signed between the NSCN-IM and the 7 NNPGs has received full support from apex Naga & church bodies.
In a significant development, the Naga apex organizations and Church bodies have extended their support to the “September Joint Accordant” signed by the NSCN-IM and the Working Committee of the 7 NNPGs. The meeting was held at Western Chakhesang Baptist Church Council complex, Dimapur and initiated by the Forum for Naga Reconciliation FNR.
The Naga apex organizations and the church came together with a realization that Naga people must change by “acting in hope and acknowledging” one another as people of common belonging in the moment for the future.
The meeting also discussed at length on the fulfillment of the “September Joint Accordant” by the signatories in “letter and in spirit.”
During the meeting, the stakeholders decided that the Naga public will render whole hearted assistance to the reconciliation process between the NSCN-IM and NNPGs, to find common ground and mutually agree on a relationship of cooperation based on the Naga historical and political rights in order to move forward.
This indeed is a big development amid the ongoing efforts to fast-track the process for reaching at an honourable and acceptable solution.
The meeting was attended by Forum for Naga Reconciliation, Nagaland Joint Christian Forum ,Naga Christian Forum, Manipur, Don Bosco Society, Naga Mother’s Association,Naga Hoho,Nagaland Tribes Council,Tenyimi Peoples’ Organization,United Naga Council,Central Nagaland Tribes Council, Global Naga Forum,Nagaland Gaon Bura Federation, Naga Students’ Federation and All Naga Students Association, Manipur.
