The bizarre family tale that is even stranger than fiction came to light in 2015, after the arrest of Indrani Mukerjea on charges of allegedly killing her 25-year-old daughter, Sheena Bora.

Sheena was earlier reported as Indrani’s sister but later it was found that she was actually Indrani’s daughter from her first marriage.

Indrani, who is currently out on bail, got bail in May 2022 after being at the Byculla Jail for seven years.
