UP Police said that the man did the modification job without proper prior permission as is stipulated under the MVA

Very few must have thought that being creative, passionate to do something different or being innovative can land one in jail. This is exactly what happened to a man from Ahmednagar in Uttar Pradesh.

This UP man had modified his Maruti Wagon R car and turned it into a helicopter. Though he got people from in and around his locality all excited and managed to pull a crowd to see his innovation, the idea failed to enthuse the UP Police ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

During a routine checking ahead of the polls, the police stumbled upon this man’s innovation and were prompt enough to book him under the Motor Vehicle Act (MVA).

The police said that the man did the modification job without proper prior permission as is stipulated under the MVA.

Speaking to news agency ANI, ASP Vishal Pandey said, “District police have been conducting checks ahead of the Lok Sabha polls and keeping an eye on any model code of conduct violations. During one such checking operations, police seized a modified car. It had been modified without prior permission. Action has been taken under the MVA act”.
