A 60-year-old lawyer, Alejandra Rodríguez scripted history by clinching the Miss Universe Buenos Aires beauty pageant.
Alejandra Rodríguez defeated 34 other competitors in the age group of 18 to 73 years.
Hailing from La Plata, the capital city of Argentina’s Buenos Aires Province, Rodriguez is a lawyer and a journalist.
Alejandra Rodríguez is the first woman of her age group to win a coveted beauty title. Her elegance, grace, and beautiful smile charmed both judges and audiences alike, resonating with individuals worldwide, an NDTV report said.
Videos shared on social media revealed her determination as she gears up to represent Buenos Aires in the Miss Universe Argentina competition in May 2024. If she wins, she will compete in the Miss Universe World competition in Mexico on September 28, 2024, proudly carrying the Argentine flag.
She expressed her excitement to be representing this new paradigm in beauty pageants because they are ushering in a new era in which women are valued for more than just their physical beauty.
Last year, the Miss Universe organization stated that there would be no age limit for pageant entrants.
