Union Minister of External Affairs and Education, RK. Ranjan on Saturday inspected the Integrated Check Post at Indo-Myanmar Border Town, Moreh.
The Union Minister also held a meet with top Officials of ICP Department, Deputy Commissioner Tengnoupal and top officers of Tengnoupal District Police at ICP Conference Hall.
Evaluation of current condition of facilities as well as discussions on challenges facing ICP was held during the meet.
Speaking at the meeting, Union Minister RK. Ranjan said that work has been halted after the Governemnt sealed the porous India-Myanmar border at Moreh town.
He further said that though the work is halted, he has instructed top officials of the relevant Departments to stay prepared and carry out their duties efficiently when Myanmar reopens the border gate.
The Union Minister also gave instructions to top officers of NHIDCL to expedite the construction of Imphal to Moreh Road along national Highway 102.
RK Ranjan also inspected the border area of Haolenphai Village along Indo-Myanmar Border.
