Two arrested with illegal Burmese betel nuts near Assam-Mizoram border

2 arrested by Assam Police. Another racket smuggling Burmese betel nuts busted at Lailapur. 2 trucks seized by police.
Two persons have been arrested with an illegal consignment of illegal Burmese betel nuts along the Assam-Mizoram border.
Two trucks carrying the consignment of Burmese betel nuts illegally were intercepted by police when they entered Lailapur on the Assam side from Mizoram.

About 3,505 kilograms of Burmese betel nuts have been seized by the police which was concealed inside secret chambers inside the trucks.
The arrested duo have been identified as Majibur Rahman and Nurul Islam.
