A sudden storm struck parts of Manipur’s valley district around 11 AM, causing extensive damage in Thoubal district’s Wangjing area. The storm blew off the rooftops of several houses, including the home of Yendrembam Shyamchand of Wangjing SK Leikai. In addition, vegetable farms in the area were also severely affected.
In response to the destruction, the Thoubal District branch of the Indian Red Cross Society was the first to extend help to the affected families. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties have been reported.
