Sikkim BJP President D R Thapa called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah yesterday and sought his guidance on various political issues and strategies for the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
During the meeting, D.R Thapa apprised Union Home Minister Amit Shah about the current political situation of the state and also had a comprehensive discussion over the strategies for upcoming general elections.
Several issues related to the welfare and well being of the people of Sikkim was also discussed at the meeting.
Legislative assembly elections in Sikkim is scheduled to be held on or before April 2024 to elect the 32 members of the State Assembly.
The tenure of Sikkim Legislative Assembly is scheduled to end on 2 June 2024.
