Assam Health and Finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will be contesting in the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls.

The decision was taken during the crucial BJP meet that took place on Thursday. As per sources, Sarma will contest from Tezpur.

It is worth mentioning here, the BJP leadership in the centre had given a free-hand to Sarma to contest from any constituency in the country. However, the senior leader has decided to contest from Assam.
