Nagaland: NSCN (K-YA) cadre arrested in Mon

The arrested NSCN (K-YA) cadre has been identified as Jyachuk Wangsu alias Abo, a resident of Chanu village in the Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh
In a significant operation launched by a joint team of Indian Army’s Eastern Command Intelligence Battalion (ECIB) and Special Operation Team of Mon Police, an active cadre of NSCN (K-YA) was arrested in Nagaland’s Mon district today.
The arrested NSCN (K-YA) cadre has been identified as Jyachuk Wangsu alias Abo, a resident of Chanu village in the Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh.
As per inputs, Wangsu has recently fled from NSCN (U) and joined the NSCN (K-YA).
According to sources, Wangsu was continuously placing extortion demands along with other cadres of the militant outfit as per the direction from senior NSCN (K-YA) leaders self-styled Brig. Peyong Konyak, Self Styled Col. Botai Wangsu and Self Styled Capt Panchin Wangsu.
Sources also said that mobile numbers and conversations with cadres have been recovered from his mobile of Wangsu.
Further investigation into the case is on.
