The Nagaland cabinet held its first special cabinet meeting in Kiphire on Friday near the state’s border with Myanmar making it the first such cabinet meet to be held outside
The Nagaland cabinet held its first special cabinet meeting in Kiphire on Friday near the state’s border with Myanmar making it the first such cabinet meet to be held outside of a secretariat premises in the country.
The special cabinet meet was also attended by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju.
The cabinet meet concluded the meet with it adopting ‘Kiphire Declaration’. The Declaration emphasized on the state government adopting various new schemes in different sectors.
Various decisions were taken under the headings of good governance, infrastructure, connectivity, health care, agriculture and others.
In terms of good governance, the government decided to go for augmentation of water supply to all district towns to meet the demand for next 25 years.
In terms of connectivity, the state government has decided to provide 2 JCB machines at Sitimi-Seyochung and Pungro and also there would be helicopter services available thrice a week with the availability of a second helicopter.
Under the aegis of health care, GPS mapping of all health centres with details of personnel would be conducted.
For the district corpus fund, the corpus fund of Rs 1 crore to meet development gaps of Kiphire district.
