NDPP announces Dr. Chumben Murry as it’s candidate for Nagaland’s lone Lok Sabha seat

Dr. Chumben Murry is the incumbent Member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly in the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly from the 38 Wokha Assembly Constituency
The ruling Nagaland Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has selected Dr. Chumben Murry as the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) consensus candidate to contest for the lone Lok Sabha seat of Nagaland.
Murry’s name was selected as consensus candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls during the NDPP Parliamentary Board meeting held yesterday.
The meeting was chaired by the Convenor of the NDPP Parliamentary Board and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.
Announcing his name, NDPP has urged everyone and all the political parties to extend support to the PDA government and its consensus candidate in the forthcoming election.
“The Board unanimously resolved to award the Party ticket to Dr. Chumben Murry for the elections to the lone Parliamentary seat of Nagaland. The Party appeals to all the sections of the people and all the political parties to continue to extend support to the PDA Government and the PDA consensus candidate in the forthcoming elections,” NDPP said in a statement.
Dr. Chumben Murry is the incumbent Member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly in the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly from the 38 Wokha Assembly Constituency and the Advisor for Law and Justice.
Murry decided not to contest in the Nagaland Assembly Election in 2023 and is currently serves as Advisor to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.
