The BJP has asserted that while the Government of India is serious about resolving the Naga political issue, it reiterated that all proposals have been accepted except the separate flag and constitution issues.

In a press statement, the Nagaland BJP stated that the Modi government has been serious and sincere about the ‘Naga Political Issue’ since the year 2015, with the signing of the ‘Framework Agreement’ and the subsequent ‘Peace Accord’ with the 7 NNPGs and others.

However, the Government of India has reiterated that it has accepted all of the proposals submitted by the various Naga political groups, with the exception of the issue of a separate flag and constitution.

Meanwhile, a state-wide new ‘Membership Drive’ under the theme “Modi for peace and development” has been launched by the Nagaland BJP and is slated to continue until the 31st of December 2022.

The new membership drive is being initiated, keeping in mind the tremendous positive response received from the populace pertaining to the successful implementation of various flagship programmes and welfare schemes launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, such as Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala Yojana, PM Kisan, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana, and E-Shram, to name just a few.

Many have come forward, expressing interest in joining the party from across the nooks and corners of the state.

The membership drive will be based on a “digital platform,” where interested persons may enrol by giving a “missed call” to 829-829-6060, and a digital format will be generated for the completion of a new membership.
