In a big step to push for an early solution to the Naga issue, the first consultative meeting of stakeholders was held on February 10th for the 1st time after the formation of the opposition-less government.

Stakeholders in large numbers congregated at the Rhodendron Hall to push for an early solution following invitation of Neiphiu Rio led government. But, what seems to be the pertinent issue is the fact that many believe that it is a move that has been made ahead of the assembly elections slated for next year.

However, in a significant statement minister of Planning and Coordination, Neiba Kronu said that such things had prevailed previously, but the government always intends for an early solution.

Without making any concrete statement, Neiba Kronu believes that without solution before the election will delay the process to resolve the vexed issue. Kronu said that every stakeholder now seeks an early solution.

Kronu added that the meeting was fruitful and every stakeholder has reached a consensus, as he said that the consultative meeting held on October 15, 2020 could not yield much results due to absence of the NPF and other political parties.

Meanwhile, BJP national spokesperson and advisor to the Nagaland government, Mmhonlumo Kikon also confirmed about the resolution adopted in the crucial consultative meeting held today.
