While Manipur University Vice-Chancellor in-charge Professor Yugindro Singh has claimed that things are rather normal in the university campus, the Manipur University Students Union president M Dayaman Singh stated that it was far from truth.
Talking to Northeast Live, Dayaman said that there is still a heavy presence of security personnel in the University campus. The MUSU president claimed that things are not normal in the campus.

Dayaman also referred to the recent letter by the VC in-charge to the Union HRD Ministry where he alleged that the Chief Minister and Governor’s action have contributed to the tension in the campus.
He said that Professor Yugindro Singh is not in a sound state of mind and the government should take action against him.
Dayaman appealed for support from Manipur civil society and various groups against the Vice Chancellor who has termed the university community as “terrorists.”
