Mizoram Governor’s Christmas Gift: Sanctions Rs. 1.3 Lakh For 13 Orphanages And Homes In Aizawl

In a commendable effort to promote child welfare and as a Christmas gift, Mizoram Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati has sanctioned Rs 1.3 lakh from his discretionary funds to support 13 orphanages and homes in Aizawl District. Each institution will receive Rs 10,000 to enhance care and resources for vulnerable children.
The beneficiary institutions are:
- Thutak Nunpuitu Team (Muanna Veng)
- Hermon Children Home (Durtlang)
- Muanna In Boys Home (Mualpui)
- Gan Sabra Society (Zonuam)
- Bethani Children’s Home (Sihhmui)
- Motherless Babies Home (Khatla)
- Abundant Life Home (Durtlang)
- SA Motherless Babies (Tuikual)
- Hmangaihna In (Durtlang)
- Ferrando Children’s Home (Durtlang)
- Rephidim Home (Laipuitlang)
- Hmangaihte Run (Zemabawk)
- Spastic Society of Mizoram
Er. Lalhriatpuia, Deputy Commissioner of Aizawl District, handed over the funds on behalf of the Governor. The beneficiary institutions include Thutak Nunpuitu Team, Hermon Children Home, Motherless Babies Home, and Spastic Society of Mizoram, among others.
This initiative reflects the Governor’s commitment to improving living conditions for needy children. By providing financial assistance, the program aims to strengthen the support systems within these institutions, ensuring better care and opportunities for the children.
Governor Kambhampati’s action highlights the importance of collective responsibility in safeguarding the welfare of vulnerable children, setting an example of compassion and proactive governance.
