Mizoram elections 2023: MNF has no agenda, says BJP leader and Nagaland minister Temjen Imna Along

“I think the people of Mizoram should impose their faith on the BJP and vote for our candidates”, Along said.
In a direct attack on ruling Mizo National Front (MNF), Nagaland minister and one of BJP’s star campaigners for Mizoram elections, Temjen Imna Along has said that the party led by Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga lacks agenda.
The attack comes within days of MNF chief Zoramthanga stating that his party’s support to the NDA is just issue based.
Temjen Imna Along said, “I was surprised when MNF said that their alliance with BJP is issue based. This itself shows that MNF has no agenda. The people of Mizoram needs an agenda of development, an agenda of cohesive, progressive, prosperous state in which the human resource is wonderfully rich. So, I think the people of Mizoram should impose their faith on the BJP and vote for our candidates looking at Modi Ji’s vision, his wanting of bringing all of us in the mainstream in terms of development progress.”
Along, who is seen as one of the youth representatives in the political spectrum feels that dynamic and energetic youths of the state need a more vibrant party which is agenda based.
“Young Mizo men and women are educated, they are strong, they need agenda based political party that is nationalistic and at the same time cohesive to the regional thoughts, fears and at the same time bringing development to the last man standing,” Along said.
Temjen Imna Along also feels that the vote bank percentage of the BJP will increase this time. He stated, “You have seen what is going on here and we are very optimistic that the BJP party here in Mizoram will do much better, in terms of vote bank it will increase a lot.”
MNF is part of the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) that has BJP as the leading political party and MNF and BJP are also part of the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA).
