Is all well within the MDA coalition? In what has come as a major development, UDP working president Paul Lyngdoh said that the state is facing a major crisis concerning political leadership, which he said, is an indication as to why the state has not performed to its optimal potential.
The UDP leader’s response amid the battle brewing in the West Shillong constituency and the BJP making it clear to contest and make it a triangular battle between Lyngdoh, Mohendro Rapsang and BJP president Ernest Mawrie.
Meanwhile, talking to media persons, Paul Lyngdoh said that in politics he does not underestimate anybody, especially given the dimension and the various factors and the fact that Shillong is a multi-ethnic multi-linguistic constituency so he has full respect for all candidates who will be in the fray.
Talking beyond West Shillong, he said that the only crisis the state faces is a major crisis of political leadership which is why the state has not performed to its optimal potential.
