Massive rockslide smashes car, kills 2 in Nagaland’s Chumoukedima

The number of injured persons is yet to be ascertained
Two people were killed after a massive rockslide smashed as many as four vehicles in Nagaland’s Chumoukedima district this evening. One person is still stuck under the debris.
The incident took place on the National Highway between Chumoukedima Police check gate and New Chumoukedima Village.
As per inputs, a driver died on the spot while one person succumbed to injuries on the way to the nearest hospital.
Commissioner of Police Dimapur while confirming this informed that the rescue team is still trying to retrieve the person stuck under the debris, but cannot say whether the person will survive or not.
The number of injured persons is yet to be ascertained and the details of the deceased persons are also yet to be ascertained.
All vehicular traffic has been blocked on the route after the incident.
