Manipur: Vehicle Carrying Over 15 BSF Personnel Falls Into Deep Gorge; 3 Dead, 12 Critical

A vehicle carrying over 15 BSF personnel fell into a deep gorge near Changoubung village in Kangpokpi killing 3 BSF personnel and leaving 12 others critically injured.
The accident took place on Tuesday at around 4.30 PM.
As per inputs, the accident occurred when the driver of the vehicle carrying the BSF personnel stationed at IIIT Camp at Mayangkhang lost control and fell into the deep gorge.
Two jawans reportedly died at the spot, while the third one succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The injured personnel were rushed to the hospital in Senapati and are currently receiving medical treatment.

Earlier on Saturday, as many as four people, including the driver of a vehicle, died on the spot and six others were injured in a road accident in Manipur’s Ukhrul district.
The vehicle that was carrying ten passengers, lost control and plunged into a deep gorge near the village of Poi in Ukhrul district.
