Manipur: Show cause notice issued to 17 schools for failing to submit nearly 100 HSLC candidates’ exam forms

Education Department sought an explanation from 17 schools before March 24 as to why the schools failed to submit the examination forms for nearly 100 students
The Manipur Education Department has issued a show-cause notice to the Principal/Headmaster of 17 schools seeking an explanation before March 24 without fail as to why the schools failed to submit the examination forms for nearly 100 students who are now unable to appear for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination, 2023 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) and resulting in the loss of one academic year.
These schools are-
- Sacred Heart Hr. Sec. School
- Ideal High School, Palle
- Bethel English School, Nambol
- M.A Waheb Islamic Public School, Lilong.
5.Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School, Churachandpur. - Sharon English High School
- Dawn Public High School, Yumnam Huidrom
- R.M Residential English School, Chiral.
- Gandhi Memorial Govt. High School, Churachandpur.
10.Thiyam Leishangkhong Govt. High School.
11.T. Vaichong High School, Kangpokpi. - Malom Megha High School, Malom.
13.Chingai High School - Paocham High School, Ukhrul.
15.S K Ideal High School, Ngairangbam - Ningthoukhong Hr. Sec. School, Ningthoukhong.
- Model English Hr. Sec. School, Saikul.
It may be mentioned here that nearly 100 students are missing their HSLC examination that has begun today as they did not receive admit cards due to negligence and irresponsibility on the part of the school staff.
The staff of the respective schools allegedly failed to submit the exam forms of the students during the stipulated period of time. The examination forms were to be submitted online by respective staff and school heads.
These schools include both government and private schools.
