Prime Minister Narendra Modi today took BJP’s campaign in Manipur a notch higher as he addressed an all-important rally at Heingang, the home turf of Chief Minister N Biren Singh.

Addressing the gathering at the Luwangpokpa Sports Stadium, Prime Minister reaffirmed that the double engine government of the BJP will be formed once again in Manipur. He particularly appealed to the first-time voters to exercise their rights judicially.

Prime Minister Modi highlighted that the polls will determine the future course of the state and said it was time to make peace and stability permanent in Manipur for future generations. Taking a dig at the former Congress governments for the frequent bandh calls in the state, the Prime Minister said the N Biren Sigh-led BJP government has ensured development reaches the state and made it a quintessential people’s government.

Prime Minister Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress for allegedly creating a hill, valley divide in the state, adding that the Congress government never worked for development and connectivity. He said one of the primary objectives of the BJP government is to ensure development and connectivity reach the hills of Manipur.

Further, Prime Minister Modi also spoke on how the state government took care of the people amid the COVID crisis, ensuring every person gets the vaccine jab. He said such a scenario would have never been possible during the Congress regime. Moreover, he said the BJP also ensured the implementation of ILP in the state.

Prime Minister Modi stated that the NDA government assured at least 7 out of 10 families in Manipur gets free ration. He said that the government has focussed on coming up with schemes to improve the lives of women.
