Ace pugilist and Olympic bronze medalist Lovlina Borgohain cruised to the quarterfinals of the women’s light middle weight category with an easy 5-0 win against Ariana Nicholson at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022.

Lovlina outpunched the New Zealand pugilist Ariana Nicholson in the 70kg competition. Lovlina, who was knocked out in the first round in Gold Coast edition, attacked from the word go, using a combination of punches.

She will now face Rosie Eccles of Wales in the quarterfinals.
