IPL 2025: Guwahati to Host KKR vs LSG match on April 6
The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) vs Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) match, originally scheduled for Kolkata, has been shifted to the ACA Stadium in Guwahati.
Why Was the KKR vs LSG Match Shifted to Guwahati?
The change comes after Kolkata Police informed the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) that they could not provide security due to Ram Navami celebrations.
Following CAB’s appeal, the BCCI approved the venue shift, adding another high-profile fixture to Guwahati’s IPL calendar.

Adding to the excitement is Riyan Parag will captain Rajasthan Royals for the first 3 matches of the season, including 2 matches in front of his home crowd in Guwahati.
His captaincy debut will take place on March 23 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad. Then he will be leading RR in 2 back-to-back matches in his home state at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati.
1.March 26 – RR vs KKR (Guwahati) – First home-state match as captain
2.March 30 – RR vs CSK (Guwahati) – Second home-state match as captain
