Leo Expo to Honour Eminent Assam Journalist Wasbir Hussain and Well-Known Actress Seema Biswas at its Silver Jubilee Year Celebrations

The highlight of the Expo this time will be the participation of countries like Iran, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Thailand.

Leo Expo, one of northeast’s leading trade exhibitions, will honour eminent journalist from Assam and Editor-in-Chief of Northeast Live, Wasbir Hussain with the Leo Expo Journalist Award, and well-known Bollywood actress from Assam, Seema Biswas with the Leo Expo Artist Award to mark its silver jubilee year celebrations. This was announced by the jury who comprise of Manisha Hazarika, Malaya Goswami and Pranay Bordoloi.

The awards are being given in recognition of their contribution to their respective fields and contain a cash award of Rs 50,000, a momento and a citation highlighting their work and contributions.

The Expo will begin at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre in Guwahati from October 31 and will continue till November 18.

The highlight of the Expo this time will be the participation of countries like Iran, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Thailand.

The theme of the Expo this year is Local to Global, the organisers said.
