State Chief Minister Pema Khandu taking to Twitter informed that for the first time since 73 years of Independence, a government bus reached the border district of Arunachal Pradesh.
CM Khandu also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership as the state witnessed a sea change in road connectivity.
“Sea of change visible under PM @narendramodi Ji. First time in 73 years of India’s independence, a govt bus has reached #Anini #DibangValley near Indo-Tibet (China) border. A Roing-Anini (233km) bus service was flagged off today as 2-lane highway reaches remote border district,” he tweeted.
The 233 km long highway connects Roing with the remotely located town of Anini in the Dibang Valley district.
The Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Services department has put minibuses into service to facilitate travel for the passengers.
