Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma to drum up support for BJP in Manipur

Assam Chief Minister, NEDA convenor and BJP’s star campaigner Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma will be arriving at Imphal today to ramp up support for the party in the poll-bound state.

As per reports, Chief Minister Sarma is expected to land at the Imphal Airport around 11 AM, following which he will likely be heading towards a mega rally.

Notably, this will be the first visit of the Assam Chief Minister to Manipur ahead of the elections which are scheduled to be held on February 27 and March 3.
On Monday, the BJP announced its candidates for all 60 seats in Manipur. Elections to the 60-seat is scheduled to be held in two phases on February 27 and March 3.
