Assam Health and Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has appealed to the ULFA-Independent to release the two employees of Quippo Oil and Gas Infrastructure Limited, who were kidnapped over a month ago.

In his appeal to the ULFA-Independent chief, Sarma said that the two kidnapped persons are small-time employees of the oil firm and keeping them captive will not benefit anyone.

“I request the ULFA-I to release Ram Kumar and Pranab Kumar Gogoi of Quippo Oil company. They are small-time employees and holding them captive will not benefit anyone,” said Himanta Biswa Sarma while speaking to mediapersons on the occasion of Me-Dam-Me-Phi on Sunday.
