A release issued by the United Liberation Front of Assam-Independent or ULFA-I on Saturday informed that a week-long operation is underway by security forces to rescue the two employees of the private oil company Quippo Oil and Gas Infrastructure Limited.

The banned outfit in its release stated that plans are underway to kill the duo and blame ULFA-I for their deaths. If anything wrong happens to the Quippo Oil employees, the entire responsibility has to be borne by the Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal and Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu.

It is to be mentioned that the duo – Bihar-based employee, Ram Kumar and drilling superintendent Pranab Kumar Gogoi of Assam’s Sivasagar district was abducted by the ULFA-I on December 21 from a drilling location in Diyun under Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh.

Earlier, in a release, ULFA-I threatened the company and authorities of Assam and Bihar saying that the concerned parties have not taken any special measures for the release of the two oil officers.

They have also released a video of the two kidnapped employees of the Quippo Oil and Gas Infrastructure Limited showing the employees appealing to the Chief Ministers of Assam and Bihar to secure their early release.
