An elephant died at Rangjuli in Assam’s Dudhnoi this morning due to an unknown disease.
The elephant had been sent from Guwahati along with another jumbo to drive out a rogue elephant in the area.
A team of doctors had also been brought in from Guwahati to tend to the ailing elephant but their efforts finally collapsed this morning.
The elephant was part of a team of two domestic elephants that had been brought in to drive out a rogue elephant that had been causing nuisance in the area.
