Crucial border visit program to take place between Assam-Arunachal

As per the official itinerary, the officials from both sides will be beginning the day by visiting the Boginadi forest area.

A crucial border visit programme is set to take place in a bid to resolve the border issue between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

The regional committees and authorities from the Kamle district of Arunachal Pradesh and Lakhimpur district of Assam will be inspecting the border areas between both the states at the Boginadi forest area.

As per the official itinerary, the officials from both sides will be beginning the day by visiting the Boginadi forest area.

After that the groups will be visiting Rajali and inspect the government establishments at Rajal, Midpu, Kherbari, Bomte and Tanio.

Later, the groups will be visiting the Indian Air Force Firing Range and would be visiting the tri-junction of the Rajgarh road of the IAF and Rajali village.

They will also the Dollung Subansiri river confluence as part of their visit to the area.

Later in the day, both groups will gather at the NHPC conference hall and will hold discussions on the joint survey carried out before concluding the day’s programmes.

Both states are conducting visits to border areas keeping with the spirit of the Namsai Declaration. Aimed at resolving the decades old boundary dispute between the two neighbouring states, the Namsai Declaration was signed by the Chief Ministers of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam on July 15.
