The COVID-19 tally in Nagaland crossed the 10,000-mark on Monday, as 140 more people have tested positive for the virus.
46 more patients have been discharged, taking the total recoveries to 8,860. The recovery rate has fallen to 88.37 per cent from 89.16 per cent on Sunday.
With 1,009 active cases, the state’s COVID-19 caseload has increased to 10,025.
Taking to Twitter, Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said, “140 +ve cases of # COVID-19 detected today. Kohima- 116, Dimapur- 24. Also, 46 +ve patients have recovered. Mon- 44, Kohima- 2.”
Meanwhile, one more patient succumbed to the infection, pushing the death toll to 47.
Dimapur has the maximum number of active cases at 565, followed by Kohima (370) and Mon (43).
The state has conducted 1,05,213 sample tests for COVID-19 so far.
