Lombo Tayeng is the MLA of Mebo constituency and Chakat Aboh is the legislator from Khonsa West
In a massive blow to the Congress after the exit of MLA and senior party leader Ninong Ering who jumped ship to the BJP, Congress MLA Lombo Tayeng has also joined the BJP today.
Tayeng along with Independent MLA Chakat Aboh joined the saffron party today at the state BJP office in Itanagar in the presence of State President Biyuram Wahge and Vice president cum convenor of state election management committee Tarh Tarak.
Lombo Tayeng is the MLA of Mebo constituency and Chakat Aboh is the legislator from Khonsa West.
The development comes as a significant change in the state’s political scenario, with the BJP strengthening its position before the upcoming elections.
Earlier, last month four sitting MLAs Wangling Lowangdong and Ninong Ering of the Congress, Gokar Basar and Mutchu Mithi of the NPP joined the BJP.
Now with the joining of MLA Lombo Tayeng, Congress is left with only 1 legislator in the assembly.
