With the campaigning fervour picking up pace ahead of the first phase of polling in Manipur, candidates are leaving no stone unturned to reach out to the voters.

In the midst of the campaign, candidates are already exuding confidence and claiming that they are well on their way to claiming victory.

JDU’s Thangjam Arunkumar, who is contesting the Wangkhie seat, has claimed that he is comfortably poised to win from the Wangkhie seat this time.

Arunkumar claimed that Wangkhie has a mixed composition of voters and that this was going to give him an advantage and ultimately claim victory.

Meanwhile, his opponent and BJP candidate, Okram Henry, countered him and said that Arunkumar is a new face in the Wangkhie seat and hence has no chance against him
